A Job Too Big for BT But Not for Us..............Wireless Security Systems

We at Crown, design bespoke closed circuit television systems and for the last four/five years have been installing wireless systems in all different settings.

We have just been awarded our latest contract to install additional cameras and a wireless network at a Quarry near Newark Notts. This system had been designed to be remotely monitored by a central station using the broadband internet.
The client came back to us after having been advised by BT that they were too far from the exchange to receive a quality service and the mobile signal around the site was weak.

We took it on ourselves to purchase a radio modem and a high gain antenna along with a pay as you go sim.
We arrived on site and carried out some tests we found that by siting the antenna at a height in excess of 6.0M we could receive a broad band signal from T mobile at 80% strength.
Armed with this information we reported back to the client and have set up a contract for them specifically a broadband only contract.

A happy client and another service Crown Surveillance can offer.

Quarries and Security

The quarry industry has employed the use of closed circuit television systems for over 30years.

Back then the main issue was cutting costs by installing cameras to survey conveyor junctions and crusher hoppers. These areas were constantly patrolled checking that the plant was working and the material flowing.

Quarries being noisy, dusty and dangerous places, for someone to be walking around checking the process was expensive and potentially fatal.

Closed circuit television systems started to become an essential and are now designed into new plants from the start.

Line powered cameras are easily installed and provide high resolution images in restricted areas.

Over time security has become an issue with the rising prices for scrap metals and in particular copper. The theft of armoured copper cables providing power to remote machinery is now the target; we have systems that combat this problem.

We use wireless technology to eliminate the requirement for cabling and transmit video up to 5 miles where it is processed and transmitted of site to a cctv monitoring station.

These systems have proved outstanding and successful prosecutions have been the result.

We take School/Education security seriously.

Schools and Education.

For many years we have looked after schools, colleges and even student residences.

To do this work our engineers have to have health and safety qualifications, and more importantly CRB checks.

Many of the schools have closed circuit television systems in operation and more and more are including access control on buildings and electronically operated gates.

This makes for a safe environment for the students and staff to work in.

Small Supermarket Stores.

The high street is full of small businesses who complain that the large chain stores such as ASDA, Tesco, etc are wrecking their environments and taking away their community spirit.

We have been carrying out work for a family operated company who are fighting back. At the moment they have two super markets and are now looking for a third.

After consultation with them to determine their exact surveillance/security needs, we have been able to provide our services, which has given them the ability to remotely watch the stores even when they're away.

They now have the access to  view from home on a lap top computer or on their mobile phones.  Hopefully providing them with peace of mind and assisting them with pushing their business even further forward.

Busy bringing hotel security up to date..........That's us!

For the last few weeks we have been bringing the security up to date at Khana Enterprises three hotels.

These are;

1.  Hilton hotel at Kenilworth
2. The Best Western hotel The Linton Lodge Hotel in Oxford
3.  The Best Western hotel The Westminster Hotel in Nottingham.

The Linton lodge has been a new installation of static cameras for the car park and key areas for both safety and security.

At the Westminster Hotel we have modernized an existing system originally installed by us in the mid 90’s.

The Hilton hotel was installed about 3 years ago and as such needed a service.

It is important to keep any system serviced and well maintained so that you can retrieve good clear video footage when required.

All of these systems can be accessed by the general manager via broadband onto his computer and more conveniently on his Iphone and Blackberry.
